An IPTV player for your Apple TV
Supernova lets you play your compatible sources on Apple TV. Start with the source you already have, then check what it offers and whether your Apple TV meets the current App Store requirements.
Download on theApp StoreChoose the player and the source separately
Installing a player does not add television channels. You need a compatible source that you are authorised to access. The source determines which streams are available.
Check your television setup
Your Apple TV, television, network and source all affect playback. A format mentioned by a source is not a guarantee that every stream will work on every setup. Check the App Store listing for current device requirements.
M3U or Xtream on Apple TV
Supernova supports M3U playlists and compatible Xtream sources. Use the format supplied by your source rather than converting credentials into a guessed playlist URL.
Guide and replay: check your playlist
The TV guide and replay depend on your playlist. Supernova does not create programme listings or a replay catalogue when the source does not supply them.
HDR on tvOS depends on the stream
NovaEngine supports HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision on tvOS depending on the received stream. Your playback setup must also be compatible. A stream without HDR does not become HDR because you use a different player.
Keep your Apple devices connected
Supernova supports iCloud synchronisation for profiles, favourites and playback progress. This connects your use of Apple TV with iPhone, iPad and Mac; it does not provide access to additional content.
Audio depends on the stream and equipment
On tvOS, NovaEngine supports multichannel 5.1/7.1, Dolby Atmos and Dolby Surround depending on the received stream and your equipment. Support does not guarantee that every installation outputs each format.
